Paul Scheepers, M.Sc, Ph.D.
Dr. Paul T.J. Scheepers is Associate Professor at the Radboud Institute for Health Sciences, Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He earned his M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences (with honors) from Wageningen University and a Ph.D. in Toxicology at the Radboud University, Nijmegen. He is leading the research group Risk Assessment and Molecular Epidemiology and is head of the Research Lab Molecular Epidemiology. His primary research focus has been on human biological monitoring and its applications in human health risk assessment. New applications for biomonitoring were developed in the areas of occupational and environmental health, consumer safety and biomonitoring following chemical incidents. He is involved as an independent expert of committees on pesticides, emerging risks, chemical incidents and he supports rapid risk assessments for the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) of the European Commission and collaborates with WHO and ILO, mainly on exposure and risk assessments.
