Donghai Liang

Dr. Donghai Liang is a research assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Health at Emory University. He earned his B.S. in biology at Peking University in Beijing, China, his M.P.H. in environmental health sciences at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and his Ph.D. in environmental health sciences at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.

His current research focuses on measuring multi-dimensional exposures and elucidating the molecular mechanisms accounting for the complex health responses to environmental mixtures (i.e., ambient and traffic-related air pollution). More recently, he has shifted the majority of his effort toward incorporating high resolution metabolomics into the investigations on the molecular mechanisms and disease etiology associated with the traffic-pollution toxicity.

Dr. Liang has been active in service to the Society since 2015 and he is the recipient of the JESEE Young Investigator Award and several Poster Awards. Currently, Dr. Liang serves as the co-chair of the ISES Diversity Committee and the co-chair of the Award Committee for the Technical Organizing Committee of the upcoming ISES-ISIAQ joint conference.
